The Superior Electoral Court created the Program to Combat Disinformation with a focus on Elections 2020 that mobilizes other institutions such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.
This partnership aims to face the negative effects of disinformation in the electoral process.
The program is organized on topics such as: media and information literacy and identification and verification of disinformation.
TSE maintains the “Disinformation” website, where it is possible to clarify information about false information involving the Electoral Justice, the electronic ballot box and the vote. Several videos were found by TSE and replicated on the @freitasebittencourt page.
This preventive and coordinated action with partners helps the Electoral Justice to contain disinformation more effectively.
The idea is to spread the care that the citizen has to take to avoid falling or spreading false news.
